There is always a lot to do in the large herb garden from spring to autumn. The herbs from the wild harvest and from our garden and forest are processed purely by hand into tea, syrup, blossom sugar, herbal salt mixtures, ointments and tinctures. The 50 young chestnut trees that we planted in 2011 as part of the 50th anniversary of WWF Switzerland have grown into a remarkable chestnut grove. The sweet chestnuts and the further processing of the fruits from the various fruit trees into jam are an important source of sales and income on our organic farm.
